The Week in Mentalists Award

I had absolutely no idea that I was even part of those nominations, so I was especially delighted yesterday to discover that I have actually jointly won the ‘This week in Mentalist Award’ under the “Lived Experience’s” category.  I’m proud to share my award with everyone.  The Judges made the following lovely comments about My Travels with Depression

“The writer brings such an amazing sense of hope to his experiences”

I don’t know who actually nominated my blog, but thank you from the bottom of my heart.  It never fails to amaze me that people actually find my writing in the least bit interesting.   In such a short space of time, my online community has come to mean so much.  By writing and reading other people’s blogs, my journey out of depression is heading towards healing.

In January, I am due to start my two-year Mentalization Based Therapy.  At times, it will be tough, but this blog has been preparing me for that journey.
