This week’s challenge from Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writer’s is to write 150/175 words using this photo prompt.
————————–
Anabella looked up at her favourite gallery. She visited the coffee shop inside every day at 2pm, despite the creepy comments about “stalking the gallery” from fellow-blogger, “Lazy Mick.”
‘Lazy Mick, what a strange name for a blog’, Anabella thought, ‘more like Crazy Prick’.
Anabella plonked into her favourite seat beneath the oval stain glass window, removing her iPad while inhaling the aroma of hardwood floors and coffee. This was a perfect place for catching up with comments. She loved her blogs name, Ella’s Oval Window.
The Waitress already knew Anabella’s regular order, but wondered why she didn’t join the odd-looking male friend who was sitting alone in the corner and had just paid for her lunch.
Anabella was so mesmerised by the beautiful colours in the window, she didn’t notice the other customers coming and going, or the Waitress approaching.
“Good afternoon, Anabella, put your purse away, no need today, your gentleman friend has already paid.”
As the Waitress turned to point to the strange man, he was already gone.

Haha! I love that, “more like Crazy Prick.” I bet he is the one that bought her lunch and darn! she doesn’t even know it. Great story! Will there be a continuation…?? I need to know what happens next!

Yes, I’ve met a few of those in my time! I’m not so sure my imagination would stretch to a continuation. Thanks, Joy 🙂

Intriguing, another one that has left me wanting to know where it goes…

They actually leave me wondering what comes next. I never have a full story in mind, just what I write….maybe this is not normal, I don’t know because I never write fiction.
Hope you liked it, thanks, Andrea

I liked this, a ghost stalker like the others say is there more to the story?

Not in my head 🙂 I don’t usually know anything other than what I write on these fiction challenges, only one each week, just for something a little different. Thanks for commenting

Oh my, creepy stalker man! I bet Annabella didn’t sleep well that night–surely she had to remember the warnings from fellow bloggers! 👿

Chances would be a fine thing if I had a stalker man 😯
Thanks, Mandy

Boo, the creep. Would be a shame if she doesn’t feel safe anymore in her favourite blogging place… The stalker is a nice twist on the gothic theme.

Sonya, you’re on a roll, voicing similar thoughts to mine. 😀 How dare he defile this place. Anabella can only hope he’s not as creepy crazy as he seems. And the waitress is probably thinking Anabella has a secret admirer. O_O

How dare he, indeed! But, it might not even be ‘Lazy Mick’, the blogger.

Maybe he just wanted to buy her lunch?

Maybe he isn’t even the blogging stalker!! Thanks, Dawn

This would be a great beginning to a fabulous story, Cat. I love the idea of a gallery and the coffee shop. And incorporating the Internet is an interesting angle.

Haha I actually thought the admirer was a genuine secret admirer fascinated by Anabelle’s don’t carish nature at the coffee shop. And maybe, just maybe, he’d be the one to help her from “the blogger”.
Oooh, this story has really got me thinking, I love it!

I wasn’t sure if he would be the stalker, if there was one in the first place! Thank you, Ameena

All very intriguing … Who is this person sending creepy comments? Is he the one who paid for Anabella’s lunch – or have we got two different things going on here? Hmmm … interesting. I love Anabella’s blogging spot beneath the oval window. 🙂

Hi Millie… now I’m not sure if he’s a crazy stalker or a secret admirer. Thank you for your kind comment!

I hope he’s a nice guy – an admirer. 🙂

Loved it! At first I thought it was creepy Mick paying for her lunch but now I’m not too sure. He could be a genuine secret admirer. I like your idea of the gallery too rather than mansion or haunted house. Something different!

I thought the building looked horribly creepy. I think he must be a secret admirer… I hope! Thanks for commenting

Oh what I really liked about this was how you used the prompt and took it somewhere other than a house.

I thought it was a horrid looking building that could only hold something surprisingly good inside. Thanks for commenting 🙂
